COVID-19 Notice

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COVID-19

Because we value the health and safety of the families we serve and that of our employees, we want to reassure our families and guests that Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery continues to take unprecedented steps to protect everyone that enters our doors and grounds in the face of the coronavirus threat, also known as COVID-19. The cemetery office is restricted only to those families who need to purchase a grave for an imminent burial. When meeting with a counselor to purchase a grave, only two individuals are allowed to attend the sales appointment. Our staff can be contacted by calling (956) 425-2939 or [email protected] with any needs or questions. Our staff is available, by appointment, to assist families.

In light of concerns regarding COVID-19, we are strongly urging that all committal services adhere to the CDC guidelines and executive order by Governor Greg Abbott "to avoid groups of more than 10 people." We will continue to perform dignified interments. In accordance with the call for more social distancing, we are working with families in small numbers to ensure accordance with this policy and limited memorial service attendees. We are requesting that all family members (10) remain in their cars until the casket has been placed at the gravesite. The graveside service will then take place. In order for the lowering of the casket to take place, all family members must leave the grave site and return to their vehicles. We will be offering to livestream our burial services on Facebook Live. Please “like” our Facebook page, Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery. We understand some families may prefer to proceed with direct interment of their loved ones and postpone the formal committal services to a later date. Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery will accommodate these preferences.

Thank you for your understanding of these new policies. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the welfare of the families we serve, and our staff is of the utmost importance to us.

Respectfully, Ashland Memorial Park Staff
