Aaliyah Roxanne Gonzalez, 25, entered into rest on March 11, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted mother, daughter, sister, and fiancée, Aaliyah’s bright spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her beloved children, Karter and Khaza Jimenez; her loving parents, Minerva Torres and Steve Solis; her fiancé, Nakia Jimenez; and her three siblings, Heaven Macias, Celest Solis, Elijah Solis, and his girlfriend Marely Morales, all of Harlingen. Aaliyah is also survived by two cherished nieces, Delaney Solis and Novalee Galvan; her maternal grandparents, Joe and Eusebia Torres; two aunts, Dahlia Alvarez and Diana Torres; and one uncle, Joey Torres. Additionally, she leaves behind her two loyal pets, Monroe and Reggie. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace in Harlingen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, 2025, departing the funeral home at 9:30 am for a 10:00 am Mass at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Harlingen with Father Lui Voreqe as celebrant. The burial will take place at Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery in Harlingen. Pallbearers will include Minerva Torres, Esteban Solis, Elijah Solis, Nakia Jimenez, Benny Ybarra, and Michelle Alvarez. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the University Hospital in San Antonio, Nurse Nadia, and MA Roger for their unwavering support and compassionate care during Aaliyah's stay at the hospital. They also wish to thank DHR Renaissance Hospice for the care provided to Aaliyah at home. Aaliyah had many passions in life, including listening to music, long drives to the beach with her children, fishing with her brother, and indulging in her love of beauty routines—fixing her hair, applying make-up, doing her nails, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her two children, Karter and Khaza. Aaliyah’s radiant energy and love for life will be remembered by all who were blessed enough to know her. Aaliyah will be greatly missed, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen, Texas.
