Anacleto C. Hernandez

Anacleto C. Hernandez, 91, entered into rest on August 29, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Anacleto will be remembered as a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. His greatest legacy is the family he leaves behind, whose lives were touched by his love and presence. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his seven children, Jorge Hernandez (Estela) of Harlingen, Eva Vela (Eduardo) of Harlingen, Oralia Hernandez of San Antonio, Leticia Chavez (Conrad) of La Feria, Anacleto “Sonny” Hernandez, Jr. (Lupita) of La Feria, Flora Estella Alcantar (Martin) of Harlingen, and Denise Ann Davila of San Antonio, Texas. Also surviving him are 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. He is also survived by his seven siblings, Dominga Leal, Magdaleno Hernandez, Jose Emeterio Hernandez, Arcadio Hernandez, Rosalia Gonzalez, Isabel Cantu, and Maria Amalia Sosa, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Anacleto was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Florinda Davila Hernandez; his parents, Nieves Palomo Hernandez and Hilaria Castro Hernandez; and six siblings, Incarnacion Hernandez, Armenia Marciana Hernandez, Macedonio Hernandez, Severiano Hernandez, Margarita Hernandez Leal, and Merejilda H. Medina. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at the Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace in Harlingen, Texas. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace in Harlingen, Texas. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at the Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace in Harlingen, Texas. Following the service, the funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for the burial at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in La Feria, Texas. Pallbearers will be Jonathon Ryan Garza, Eduardo Salvador Vela, II, Javier Hernandez, Jacob Hernandez, Conrado Chavez, III, and Conrado Chavez, IV. Honorary pallbearers will be Jorge Hernandez and Anacleto “Sonny” Hernandez, Jr. Anacleto leaves behind a beautiful family legacy that will continue through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
