Herminia Vento De La Rosa

With grateful hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Herminia Vento de la Rosa, who entered eternal rest at the age of 97, January 8, 2026 peacefully and with grace. She is survived by her 8 children: Juanita Garza (Raul) of San Benito, Teodoro de la Rosa Jr., (Minerva) of Harlingen, Adelaida de la Rosa of Harlingen, Juan de la Rosa of Harlingen, Irma Holmes (Danny) of Orange Grove, Iris Garcia of San Benito, Rebecca Puente (Oziel) of Washington State and Minnie Pool (Billy) of Katy. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren each of whom carries a piece of her gentle spirit. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy of unconditional love. She found joy in the simple and sacred moments of life sewing with care, cooking for those she loved, listening to the Word of God on the radio each day, and spending quiet time reading her Bible. Her faith was the foundation of her life, steady and unwavering. She was soft, delicate, and kind in every way, with a smile so beautiful it could light up any room. Her laughter was warm, her presence comforting, and her love endless. To know her was to feel safe, cherished, and deeply loved. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her husband Teodoro and resting in the peace she so faithfully believed in. Her legacy will continue to live on through every story told, every prayer whispered, and every loving act passed down through the generations. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Teodoro G. De La Rosa Sr., her four brothers Modesto Vento, Manuel Vento, Roberto Vento and Florentino Vento and her parents Evaristo Vento and Adelaida Dominguez Vento. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace in Harlingen. Her Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace with Chaplin Amalia Lerma officiating.The burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park Cemetery in San Benito, Texas. Pallbearers will be Ted De La Rosa, Robert De La Rosa, Joh Michael De La Rosa, Christopher De La Rosa, Danny Valdez and Tony Valdez. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen, Texas.
