Manuel S. Rosales

Manuel S. Rosales, 78, of Harlingen, Texas, entered into rest on December 22, 2024. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Olga Reyes Rosales, of Harlingen; three children: Lydia Rosales Agado (Tony) of San Benito, Sandra Rosales of Harlingen, and Manuel Rosales, Jr. of Harlingen; and eight grandchildren: Clarissa Cruz (Adrian), Jesse Cruz, Jennifer Agado Hinojosa (Eric), Jacklyn Ann Agado, Fabian Martinez, Steven Martinez, Riley Martinez, and Dalilah Sanchez. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Alexia Cisneros, Evelynn Hinojosa, Elayna Hinojosa, and Emerie Hinojosa. Manuel is further survived by four sisters: Senona Rosales, Herminia Rosales, Ana Rosales Montez, and Maria Luisa Beltran. He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Hermelinda (Linda) Rosales; his parents, Leonardo and Maria Rosales; three brothers: Leonardo Rosales, Jr., Daniel Rosales, and Francisco Rosales; and his cherished sister, Cruz Solis. Manuel was a skilled auto mechanic who served his community for many years, earning the respect and admiration of his customers and colleagues. His passion for cars extended beyond his work, as he was also an avid collector of model cars, a hobby that brought him joy and allowed him to share his love for automobiles with others. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace in Harlingen, with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2024, departing the funeral home at 9:30 am for a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Harlingen. burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in La Feria, Texas. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Manuel Rosales, Jr., Francisco (Frank) Rosales, Jr., Tony Agado, Fabian Martinez, Carlos "Charlie" Reyes, Jr., and Romel Solis. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all those who have shown love and support during this difficult time. Manuel’s legacy of love, faith, and dedication to his family, along with his contributions to the community, will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen, Texas.
