Elvira G. Martinez, 72, of Santa Rosa entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 28, 2020. She was born September 28, 1948 in Harlingen. She is preceded in death by her father, Gustavo Hinojosa; son, Eugene U. Martinez; and a brother, Rafael Garcia. Elvira is survived by her loving family, her mother, Dora G. Garcia; children, John David Martinez, Uvaldo Martinez, Just Martinez (Paola), and Lisa Marie Fonseca; 9 grandchildren, Mia, Isaiah, Makayla, Kameron, Gage, Sophia, Draven, Sebastian, and Gunner; 4 siblings, Ernesto, Gloria, Corina, and Olivia. Visitation will be held at Rudy Garza Funeral Home in La Feria on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00pm. Visitation will resume at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 and funeral service will began at 2:30PM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Restlawn Cemetery in La Feria.
