Encarnacion "Chon" Solis

November 2, 1947 - June 2, 2022

Encarnacion "Chon" Solis 74, of Harlingen entered into rest June 2, 2022. He was born in Harlingen, Texas on November 2, 1947 to Alberto and Ignacia Solis who precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Alberto Solis, Jr., Oscar Solis and his twin brother, Arturo Solis. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gloria Solis; 2 brothers, Guadalupe Solis (Diana), Juan Manuel Solis (Lucy); 2 sisters, Olivia Briones (Chayo) and Maria Elena Garza (John T) and his nieces and nephews whom he helped raise; Adriana Gallagher, Celinda Castillo, Emma Castillo, Elsa Castillo, Juan Guadalupe Castillo and Rick Castillo and numerous other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother in law, Ricardo Castillo. Visitation will begin Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM and a rosary will be at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 departing the Rudy Garza Funeral Home at 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church and burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park Cemetery.
