Mercedes-Higinio Colon, 77, of Mercedes Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 28, 2020 in Mcallen Texas. He was born January 23, 1943 to Higinio Colon and Rosa Morales Colon in San Juan Puerto Rico. He is survived by his dear friend; Rosa Almaguer of Mercedes Texas. Children: Elizabeth Colon, Angel Luis Colon Higinio Colon Jr. Step-daughters: Sidalia (Roberto)Mendoza, Anna(Reyes)Garcia and Olga Almaguer. Higinio is also survived by (5) Brothers: Filiberto Jimenez, Angel Ramone Arroyo, Carlos Arroyo, (6) Sisters: Carmen Arroyo, Maria Arroyo, Romana Arroyo, Otila Arroyo, Maltilde Arroyo,Rosa Maria Colon and Maria De Los Angeles Colon Morales. Higinio Loved to play and go to baseball games. He is preceded in death by his father: Higinio Colon Sr., son; Johnny Colon, 2 brothers: Juan Luis Colon Morales and Rafael Angel Colon Morales. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 2:00p.m. at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission Texas. Funeral services are under the direction and care of Rudy Garza Funeral Home of Mercedes Texas.
