Jesus Zuniga

Jesus Zuniga, 84, a lifetime resident of Mercedes Texas went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. He was born in Mercedes Texas on May 25, 1937, to Mercedes and Eduvijes Garcia Zuniga in Monterrey Mexico. He is survived by his 4 sons; Jesus Zuniga (Antonia) Zuniga, Librado (Paulina) Zuniga, Tulio (Marta) Zuniga, Marco (Julia) Zuniga, daughters; Dora (Jose P.+) Zuniga, Luz M. (Martin) Barron, Marlene (Jose) Vasquez Jr., 19 grandchildren and 19 Great-grandchildren and numerous brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his Loving wife, Belen Zuniga, Parents; Mercedes and Eduvijes Garcia Zuniga, sister, Josefina Tarango, brothers, Basilio and Rodrigo Zuniga. Visitation will be conducted on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Officiating will be his son, Jesus Zuniga. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace for a 10:00 a.m. chapel service. Interment will then follow at Mercedes Restlawn Cemetery in Mercedes Texas. Mr. Zuniga was a loving and dedicated son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is and will forever be loved and missed by all those who knew him.
