Luis Rivera

Luis Rivera, 59, a lifetime resident of Mercedes Texas went to be with our Lord on June 10, 2021. He was born May 11, 1962 to Agapito and Anita Ramirez Rivera in Mercedes, Texas. He is survived by his loving family: Mother; Anita Ramirez Rivera of Mercedes, Texas, 3 brothers: Agapito(Maria) Rivera Jr. of Mercedes, Jose Rivera of Weslaco, Oscar (Maria) Rivera of Donna, 6 sisters: Anita (Reynaldo) Perez of Mission, Rosa (Carlos) Rodriguez of Mercedes, Esmeralda(Ernesto)Longoria of Weslaco, Maria Rivera of Mercedes, Delia Rivera of Mercedes, Gloria (Martin)Alvarado of Mercedes and numerous nieces and nephews. Luis is preceded in death by his father; Agapito Rivera. Visitation will take on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 11:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. We will depart Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace at 2:30 p.m. for a 3:00p.m. mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment to follow at Mercedes Restlawn Cemetery in Mercedes, Texas. Luis was a dedicated and loving son, brother, uncle and a dear friend to all. He is and will forever be loved and missed by all those who knew him.
