David Hernandez

David Hernandez, Harlingen, 43, closed his eyes one final time and went home to be with his father Monday morning March 28, 2016, he was surrounded in his last hours by his entire family. His illness was sudden and his passing was much unexpected. David is survived by his Mom, Aurora (Jose) Rivera, his Brothers: Joey (Marlen) Hernandez and Gilbert (Annie) Hernandez, his sister Cindy (Joe) Gutierrez, his “light” Monica Pena and his children; Pablo (Hannah) Garza, Brandy , Marcylyn , and Kayous Pena, Jeorgina , Aden and Anthony Anaya, His Grandchildren Zayden and Zarek Garza, He was a Great Father and Grandfather to these children and he will forever be in their hearts. David leaves behind his nieces, and nephews, Nick, Colton, Marky, Antonio, David, Anahia, Kelly, Kathy, Jacob, Vanessa, Priscilla, Joe, Jesse and David His Tias , Tios and what seems to be and endless number of cousins and friends. David was preceded in death by his dad, Jose (Poncho) Hernandez, whom he loved with all his heart, today he is at peace because they are reunited once again. However you met David, whether it was by blood, a marriage, relationship or just through a friend, you soon learned that he could lift your spirits even when you were feeling you’re lowest. He had a good heart, always there to help out when needed. He was loved by so many people and he will be missed always. Every now and then we meet someone who stands out in a crowd maybe we notice their big smile, loud laugh or even their crazy dance steps but none the less our attention is captured and an ever lasting impression is placed in our heart and mind. If you have ever met someone like this, it probably was David; he had all of these qualities, I’m telling you this man could dance. His laughter and silliness will forever remain in our hearts. David would not want us to mourn him; he would want us to remember him at his best!! Remember he is dancing in heaven; he no longer is in pain, his work here on Earth is done. Visitation will be Thursday March 31, 2016 at Rudy Garza Funeral Home from 10 am till 7 pm with a prayer service being held from 7 pm to 9 pm. Burial of Ashes will follow Monday Morning, 11 am, April 4, 2016 at Ashland Cemetery. All arrangements are being in trusted to Rudy Garza Funeral Home, 1702 E Harrison Harlingen Texas. Donations toward David’s services in lieu of flowers would be much appreciated.
