Olga Alicia Rodriguez, 78, went to be with the lord on April 20, 2025. She was born on November 17,1946 in Mexico to Candido Flores Olvera and Josefina Silva Gomez. She is survived by her loving family, husband, Mr. Narciso Rodriguez; sons; Mr. Omar (Grace) Rodriguez, Mr. Eddie Martin (Magdalena) Rodriguez, and Odilia Rodriguez (daughter in law) and 7 grandchildren. Olga Alicia Rodriguez has 8 brothers: Mr. Ramiro Flores Silva, Norberto Flores Silva, Efrain Flores Silva, Cesar Flores Silva, Juan Flores Silva, José Ovidio Flores Silva, José Amaro Flores Silva and Adrián Flores Silva. She is preceded in death by her father: Mr. Candido Flores Olvera, mother: Mrs. Josefina Silva Gomez, son: Narcizo Jabel Rodriguez, brothers: Mr. Anibal Flores Silva (Irma A) - (✞), Mr. Candido Noe Flores Silva (Elva) and Mr. Guadalupe Angel Flores Silva. Olga often said, "Spending quality time was a gift from above," and she lived those words every day of her life. She made time for her loving family -no matter how busy life became-for the people she loved the most. Her world revolved around the deep love she shared with her husband and children. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and strength—always available for a gentle embrace, a listening ear, or words of wisdom tailored perfectly to the moment. To be near Olga was to feel love in its purest form. Her kindness radiated from within, enveloping everyone she met with a warmth. She had a rare gift of making others feel truly seen, valued, and cared for. Her home and her heart were open to all, and many will remember her as a safe place in times of both joy and sorrow. Respect was something Olga gave freely and genuinely—and it was always returned. She treated everyone with compassion and dignity, and in doing so, inspired others to do the same. Visitation will be held at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home Friday, April 25, 2025, from 3:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 with a chapel service at 12:00 p.m. at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home with Father Luis F. Sanchez officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Weslaco. Funeral services are under the direction and care of Rudy Garza Funeral Home Mercedes Texas. Nació el 17 de Noviembre de 1946 en México, hija del Sr. Cándido Flores Olvera y la Sra. Josefina Silva Gómez. Le sobreviven su amada familia: Su Esposo, Narciso Rodríguez; sus hijos, Omar (Grace) Rodríguez, Eddie Martín (Magdalena) Rodríguez, y su nuera Odilia Rodríguez, y sus siete nietos. Olga tiene ocho hermanos: Ramiro Flores Silva, Norberto Flores Silva, Efraín Flores Silva, César Flores Silva, Juan Flores Silva, José Ovidio Flores Silva, José Amaro Flores Silva y Adrián Flores Silva. Le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Cándido Flores Olvera; su madre, Josefina Silva Gómez; su hijo, Narcizo Jabel Rodríguez; y sus hermanos: Aníbal Flores Silva (Irma A) (✞), Cándido Noé Flores Silva (Elva) y Guadalupe Ángel Flores Silva. Olga amaba profundamente a su esposo, hijos y familia. Una de sus frases favoritas era: “pasar tiempo de calidad es un regalo del cielo”. Su vida giraba en torno a su amado esposo e hijos. Siempre encontraba tiempo cuando alguien la necesitaba, ya fuera un abrazo amoroso, un oído atento o palabras llenas de sabiduría, según la situación. Su amor era inmenso y se sentía cuando se acercaba a cualquier persona. Todos sentían su cariño y deseaban estar cerca de ella. El respeto que brindaba era siempre correspondido. Ella es y será extrañada por todos. La velación se llevará a cabo el viernes 25 de Abril de 2025, de 3:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m., con un rosario que se rezará a las 7:00 p.m. El sábado 26 de Abril la velacion continuará a las 9:00a.m. El padre Luis F. Sanchez oficiara un servicio a las 12:00 p.m. en la Capilla de la Paz de la Funeraria Rudy Garza. Partiremos de la Capilla de la Paz de Rudy Garza a la 1:30 p.m., y el sepelio se llevará a cabo en el Cementerio Highland Memorial Park. Los servicios funerarios están bajo la dirección y cuidado de Rudy Garza Funeral Home, Mercedes, Texas.
