Ricardo Martinez, 55, was born June 29, 1960 in Mercedes, Texas. He graduated from Woodward High School in Toledo, Ohio in 1979. Rick was a member of the National Guard and was enlisted in the United States Air Force where he honorably served for 20 years as an APG aircraft mechanic who specialized as an A-10 crew chief and then an A-10 field training instructor. During his military service he also earned expert marksman certification, was stationed in England and several locations in the United States, and received his Associates Degree in Applied Science – Instructor of Technology and Military Science. Rick believed in lifelong learning and often volunteered at the local gun range. He enjoyed his retirement life of hunting, fishing, BBQing, and most of all spending time with family. Rick was called home to the Lord on October 8, 2015. Rick was blessed with 32 years of loving matrimony and is survived by his wife Sharon, children Ricardo Jr. (Marie), Anneliese, and grandchildren Ava, Peyton, Carter, and Gavin. He also leaves behind his mother and father Dora and Salvador Sanchez; sisters Diana, Sharon, and Shirley; brothers Robert, Juni, and Pete, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and many loved family members and friends.
