JoAnn Benavidez, 37, passed away on February 26, 2021. She was born on April 18, 1983 in Harlingen, Texas where she worked as a customer service representative in the retail industry. JoAnn leaves behind her husband, Juan Carlos Hernandez, her three children, Daniel Medina, Jacqueline Medina, Jazmin Medina, her father, Jilibaldo Benavidez; siblings Gilbert Benavidez, Leticia Benavidez, Jessica Duran and Francisco Benavidez. She also leaves behind her grandmother, Raquel Gonzalez. She is preceded in death by her mother, Maria Nancy Serrato and nephew, David Martinez, Jr. Visitation services will be held on Monday March 1, 2021 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home and burial will follow at Gomez Cemetery.
