Luis Marquez Fernandez, 77, a lifetime resident of Mercedes Texas went to be with our Lord on Sunday, February 14, 2021. He was born November 28, 1943 to Jose and Maria Marquez Fernandez in Mercedes Texas. He is survived by his loving family: children: Patricia (Maximo) Moreno of Pharr Texas, Leticia de la Rosa of Mission, Noe (Loly) Fernandez of Mission, Alma (Nathan) Heckt of Houston , Rene Fernandez of Alaska, Ramon (Rosa Maria) Fernandez, Graciela Fernandez of Mercedes, Brothers: Jimmy Fernandez of Mercedes, Ernesto (Dalia) Fernandez of Mercedes, Juan Fernandez of Mercedes and numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; Juan and Maria Fernandez, 3 brothers: Eloy, Jaime, Jesse Fernandez and his son; Luis Marquez Fernandez Jr. Visitation will be conducted on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a chapel service at 6:00 p.m. In respect to Mr. Fernandez's wishes this concludes all funeral services. Funeral services are under the direction and care of Rudy Garza Funeral Home of Mercedes Texas.
